well i appreciate your family's sacrifice for this country, but you better not be demeaning the purpose of helping one's community. that's more important than going off to war, especially into one that is meaningless (Iraq). it's not for "pussies." it's for people who actually care. it's THOSE people who made america what it is today, not war heros (outside of the revolutionary war). you build a great country through positive contributions, not war.

just because you don't join the military doesn't mean you don't love your country. actually, it helps america far more if you get involved in your community, donate to charity, or become an HONEST politician than if you go off to vietnam and shoot some gooks in order to allow for war-profiteering.also, at the time of vietnam barack was 7. kind of hard to enlist.
